Abstract: Currently, water treatment plants use chlorine and compressed air introduced into water through various methods. The paper presents a new air distribution method, namely, using a microbubbles generator. It is known that as the air bubble diameter is lower the oxygen transfer speed to water is higher. Considering this, a microbubbles generator that has 152 orifices with Ø 0.1 mm was designed and developed; the air bubbles have 700 μm. The end of the paper presents the experimental stand and the experimental research results.

Keywords: water oxygenation, oxygen transfer speed, microbubbles generator.
