Abstract: This paper deals with modeling and numerical simulation of convection heat transfer and irreversibility of impinging jet against a heated plate surface. The well known turbulence model of Abe-Kondoh-Nagano was modified by implementing the T-bound realizability condition of Durbin. In the case of the flow geometry defined by a Reynolds number of 23000 and a dimensionless distance between the jet pipe and the heated plate equal to 2, the numerical results showed that a value of the realizability coefficient, ?=0.8, assure the best agreement between the numerical results and the experimental data. For this value, the numerical flow and heat transfer fields were used to reveal the volumetric irreversibility distributions of the process
